About Chuck
30 years in this profession and
I still think it's underrated.
I'm a self-proclaimed Skyline Chili connoisseur and dedicated Duran Duran fan. I'm also someone who has spent nearly three decades watching internal communicators do remarkable work and receive remarkably little credit for it.
My career started at companies like General Motors and Rolls-Royce, where I saw firsthand how internal communications can shape culture, drive results, and make people feel like they actually matter at work. I've been hooked ever since.

In 2015, I launched the ICology podcast because I couldn't stop having interesting conversations with people in this profession. It evolved into a community because those conversations made it obvious that IC pros needed a place to belong — not just another newsletter or LinkedIn group, but a real community built by communicators for communicators.
Today, ICology is home to hundreds of IC professionals from around the world. I also co-host Frequency with Jenni Field, where we explore the rhythms and stories that shape how organizations communicate and thrive.
Outside the community, I consult with organizations on internal communications strategy and speak at events where people actually want to talk about this stuff. Turns out, that's more places than you'd think.
